How to Pray III: The Philosopher's Stone & Quantum Mechanics
A step by step practical system for cultivating the Philosopher's Stone
Introduction: The Multidimensional Nature of Consciousness
The path to higher awareness requires holding multiple states of consciousness simultaneously—a spiritual multitasking that transcends ordinary perception. These Three States of Awareness are not meant to be experienced in isolation or sequentially, but rather integrated into your consciousness over time, creating a seamless tapestry of perception that remains active while you navigate daily life. This integration establishes an advanced mental-emotional architecture that harmonizes thought with feeling, logic with intuition, and the material with the spiritual.
The framework presented here offers a bridge between ancient wisdom traditions and modern scientific understanding, creating a holistic approach to consciousness that honors both our spiritual heritage and our evolving comprehension of quantum reality.

State I: The Awareness of God
The awareness of God forms the foundation of this spiritual architecture. This primordial state encompasses several interconnected pillars that support and inform each other, creating a comprehensive understanding of the divine principle that permeates all existence.
The Pillar of Righteousness: Divine Truth and Virtue
"My Father is God in Heaven because I speak truth."
This pillar represents the ethical and moral dimension of spiritual awareness. God, as understood here, transcends specific religious doctrines to embody the highest virtues known across traditions—the 99 names of Allah in Islam, the Sephirot in Kabbalah, the cardinal virtues in Christianity, the Noble Eightfold Path in Buddhism, and countless other expressions of supreme goodness and truth.
The pursuit of righteousness becomes both the means and the end of spiritual development. By aligning our thoughts, words, and actions with these highest principles, we cultivate a consciousness worthy of divine connection. This righteousness is not based on rigid dogma but on an intuitive understanding of universal ethical principles that resonate across cultural and religious boundaries.
This pillar recognizes that truth-speaking is a divine act—when we speak truth, we participate in the divine nature and acknowledge our connection to the source of all truth. This understanding transcends particular religious views and instead embraces the universal intuition of a higher power that embodies and upholds the highest principles of existence.
The Wisdom of Ruach: The Creative Breath
Ruach (רוּחַ)—the Hebrew concept that simultaneously means "breath," "wind," and "spirit"—represents the dynamic creative principle that animates all existence. This wisdom recognizes the profound relationship between breath and creation, between spirit and manifestation.
At the macrocosmic level, the breath of the Great Spirit (Ruach Elohim) moves over the primordial waters of potential, initiating the cosmic creative process. This divine breath gives rise to the creative word (Logos), which then manifests as physical reality (flesh). As stated in ancient texts: "By the word of the Lord the heavens were made, and by the breath of His mouth all their host."
From a quantum perspective, this process may be understood as the way folded dimensions give the quantum vacuum its generative potential. The vacuum, far from being empty, teems with quantum information and virtual particles that collapse from potentiality into actuality through the process of observation or measurement—a process that some theoretical physicists have compared to consciousness itself.
At the microcosmic level—the human scale—we participate in this same creative process. Our breath supports our speech, which expresses our thoughts, which guide our actions, which shape our reality. Through conscious breathing practices found in traditions like pranayama, qi gong, and hesychasm, we can attune our personal creative process to the cosmic one, becoming mindful co-creators in alignment with divine principles.
The Incarnation of the Holy Spirit: Divine Embodiment
The third pillar of the first state involves the conscious reception and embodiment of divine energy—variously known as Holy Spirit, Chi, Prana, Kundalini, or Life Force. This aspect focuses on the sacred communion between the human vessel and divine presence.
As we draw breath with intention and invite divine presence into our being, the Holy Spirit descends and infuses our entire system—physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual. This indwelling presence transforms us into vessels capable of channeling divine creative power for healing, transformation, manifestation, and miraculous intervention in the material world.
This pillar encompasses various practices for invoking, containing, and directing spiritual energy: prayer, meditation, visualization, sacraments, energy work, and sacred movement. These practices prepare the human system to safely conduct increasingly powerful currents of divine energy, gradually raising the voltage of consciousness without burning out the circuitry of the nervous system.
The Holy Spirit serves as both the power source for creation and the delivery system for wisdom. It energizes our creative endeavors while simultaneously guiding them with divine intelligence, ensuring that our manifestations align with higher principles rather than ego-driven desires.
